Senior Digital Design Engineer (REF: SDDE001)

Job Overview

The Senior Digital Design Engineer leads and performs the functions of design, simulation, verification and qualification of digital designs from the RTL level to on chip verification for FPGA platforms including processor, microcontroller and DSP implementations. In the case of Digital ASIC design, leads also all the activities towards physical design for the specified foundry processes used.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Design and Simulation and hardware verification of Digital Circuits
  • System level circuit modeling and simulation
  • FPGA / ASIC test plan design and execution
  • FPGA algorithms development and implementations
  • Technical Reporting
  • Design, implementation, test,    integration    and    delivery    of digital systems
  • Authoring of supporting design documentation to a high standard
  • Development of test harnesses to verify developed items using self-checking test benches, BFMs etc.
  • Integration  of  the  developed  firmware  on  the  target  hardware  with other system components and software

Role Requirements

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or relevant field
  • Post Graduate Studies in Microelectronics would be considered an additional asset
  • At least 2-3 years solid working experience on FPGA development using VHDL
  • Excellent knowledge in the design of digital systems and integrated circuits
  • Experience of developing self-checking testbenches, BFMs
  • Documentation generation: Requirements, design, interface specification, test specifications
  • Experience in using the Cadence package software
  • Experience in using the Labview software package
  • Excellent command of English language
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with digital communications protocols and general networking experience
  • Experience of developing on large Altera and Xilinx FPGAs
  • Experience of ARM System On Chip (Zynq)

Junior Electronics Engineer (REF: JENG001)

Job Overview

The junior electronics engineer participates in the system design activities of the D&D projects. Design activities include but are not limited to, electronics design (schematic capture, PCB layout, firmware development). On system level, the design activities include, system architecture (functional, electrical, mechanical).

The project activities of the D&D include sensor development, sensor system development for a variety of applications including sensor systems for IoT.  The junior electronics engineer also plans and conducts laboratory experiments in cooperation with all disciplines of the D&D department and according to the ISO9001-2015.
