The junior electronics engineer participates in the system design activities of the D&D projects. Design activities include but are not limited to, electronics design (schematic capture, PCB layout, firmware development). On system level, the design activities include, system architecture (functional, electrical, mechanical).The project activities of the D&D include sensor development, sensor system development for a variety of applications including sensor systems for IoT. The junior electronics engineer also plans and conducts laboratory experiments in cooperation with all disciplines of the D&D department and according to the ISO9001-2015.
Principal Responsibilities
- Member of the Research and Development Department for the design and implementation of sensors and sensor systems
- Communicating with cooperating industrial subcontractors
- Creation and implementation of experimental arrangements
- Design and Development of mixed signal multilayer PCBs
- Design and development of firmware for μcontrollers using C compilers of various vendors
- Development of Demo or Test automation software using NI LabVIEW
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Language Requirements
- Degree in the following disciplines or equivalent: University Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Postgraduate Degrees in Electronics or Physics is desirable
- Mixed Signal Electronics design (Schematic Capture, PCB Layout)
- Firmware Development (C, assembly)
Nice to have
- Understanding of IoT Infrastructure / architecture is a plus
- Understanding or experience of use of Wireless protocols such as WiFi, BLE, LoRa, LoRaWAN, NBIoT
- Application software development using (Visual C/C++/C#/Java, Android Studio)
